Pest Share Training - Module 2 - Pest Share Service Model
Understanding How Pest Share Service Works
❓How the Pest Share Service Model Works Pest Share is an on-demand, targeted pest control service designed to address active pest problems. It is not a routine monthly or quarterly preventative treatment.
Instead of a technician automatically visiting every month, the resident requests service when they are experiencing an active covered pest issue.
1. On-Demand, Targeted Service
The Pest Share model is simple:
Resident experiences a pest problem → Resident requests service → Pest Share coordinates the appropriate treatment.
Q: Why is this important? This allows service to be provided when it is actually needed.
2. Up to 4 Service Events in 12 Months
Each enrolled resident/property has up to 4 service events during a 12-month period.
💡An important distinction: one service request can include up to three different pest treatments, but it still counts as only one service event.
Example:
A resident requests service for:
-
Ants
-
Cockroaches
-
Fleas
Those three pest treatments are handled as one service event, not three.
3. Follow-Up Visits
-
If additional visits are necessary to address the same pest issue, those follow-up visits are included within the original service request/service event.
-
The resident does not use another service event simply because the technician needs to return to complete the treatment.
4. 30-Day Warranty
Pest Share provides a 30-day warranty following completion of the service.
-
The warranty begins when the service is completed.
-
If there is evidence that the treated pest returns during the warranty period, the resident can submit a request under the warranty.

📒Trainer Takeaway
Make sure your CSMs can clearly explain these three points:
-
Service is on-demand and targeted to active pest problems. Service is requested when a resident is experiencing an active covered pest problem.
-
Residents have up to 4 service events in a 12-month period.
-
A single service request can include up to 3 pest treatments and necessary follow-up visits while still counting as one service event.
